Clothesline Project

Bearing witness to Domestic and Sexual Violence

The Clothesline Project, which is held in conjunction with Victims Rights Week, is a visually display of shirts with written messages and/or illustrations that have been created by survivors and their families and friends. These shirts reflect their experiences and the impact the violence has had on all of their lives. The purpose of the Clothesline project is to educate, to mourn those who have died as a result of this violence, and to bear witness to victims' courage to survive and heal.

We encourage all those who have been affected by domestic and sexual violence o make a shirt. There is no cost involved with making a shirt. All supplies are provided for you at the t-shirt making day and at the display.

You are welcome to join us at Bridges Nashua and Milford Office to create a shirt.

If you would like more information about the Clothesline Project, please call the AmeriCorps Victim Assistance Program at 603.224.6466.

United Way Day of Caring

Day of Caring takes place each September, and the Youth Day of Caring takes place each May. For one day, volunteers from companies/schools in the Greater Nashua and Souhegan Valley area take the day off from work/school to volunteer at area non-profit organizations. There are many generous volunteers who are willing to donate their time to Bridges on different projects in our office and the emergency shelter, including painting, property beautification, office work, and cleaning. We appreciate the great support from our community.

For more information about the Youth Day of Caring and Day of Caring, please refer to United Way of Greater Nashua web site at http://www.unitedwaynashua.org.

Cycle to Break the Cycle of Domestic Violence

Typically Bridges holds the Annual Cycle to Break the Cycle of Domestic Violence in late September or Early October each year.  We have replaced this event with the Kelly Mann Memorial 5k and 3k Fun Run/Walk.  We hope that you will join us for the Kelly Mann 5k, as it was planned in conjunction with Kelly's daughters.  They approached Bridges with the idea, and are excited to honor their mothers memory.  Bridges is honored to participate in this moving event.  To learn more about the Kelly Mann Memorial 5k and 3k Fun Run/Walk please check it out at Bridges website.

Thank you to all of our loyal bikers.  You have helped us to raise money to provide the basic necessities of life to those whose lives have been turned upside down by fear and abuse. This event served to increase community awareness of a problem too long hidden and too long private. Link here for past event information and photos.
