Emergency shelter renovated to better meet the needs of clients

This summer Bridges re-opened its emergency shelter, Janice’s House, after an extensive renovation to convert the communal living model to individual housing units. These modest apartments give clients greater privacy, more individualized support services and care, and provide the most conducive setting in which to heal.

Bridges is the first domestic violence agency in New Hampshire to successfully convert its housing program to a nationally acclaimed and recognized model. The shelter has been full since it reopened.
