Join Us On 6/24 For Our Next Lunch Connections Session!
The LGBTQ+ community is nearly twice as likely to experience Intimate Partner Violence than their non-LGBTQ+ counterparts (NCAVP). Many of these survivors face barriers preventing them from reaching out for help and accessing support.
This workshop will give an overview of Intimate Partner Violence and how we can support LGBTQ+ friends, family, and community members experiencing relationship abuse. You’ll gain tools you can use to build trust and help mitigate the increased challenges LGBTQ+ victims/survivors face. We will reflect on cultural humility, the importance of inclusive language, and share information about creating a safe, welcoming environment for all.
